KS: Try and have as much schedule and routine in your day. I wake up and go for a run, then do an exercise class at home, shower then start my day. I make sure I break for lunch and finish at 6/6.30.
RIA: How has the recent quarantine impacted the way you work and have you had to change your working behaviour much?
KS: I’ve actually been very lucky to continue working with MTV* through this time. I really have to concentrate harder though, as there’s a lot of distractions around! I’ve never had so much washing up to do in my life... *(MTV is a Roar client who Keeley works with outside of the agency)
RIA: What is keeping you sane at the moment?
KS: Meditation, exercise, podcasts and good food.
RIA: Podcast recommendations?
KS: The Daily is always fantastic. The Guardian’s “Today in Focus.” Or for something a bit less news-y, Deliciously Ella’s podcast is fab.
RIA: What can you see from your window
KS: Urban gardens!
RIA: Dream client
KS: I’d to love to work more in music. Working with some cool artists like Khruangbin
RIA: Show us a WIP and tell us a bit about it.
KS: Finalising some type from the 36 Days of Type project that I participated in this year.
RIA: advice for creative right now?
KS: Keep healthy and positive and creativity will flow.
RIA: Tools of the trade
KS: Wacom Cintiq!
RIA: What are you doing for your mental health?
KS: Reading more books, exercise and calls with friends.
RIA: TV/Film recommendations?
KS: I’m watching The Wire, it’s supposed to be the best series. I just got Muubi, so have been watching some great films on there.
RIA: Your favourite piece of work / job
KS: Still love my Everpress tee I did! It’s something I wanted to do for a long time, I should really do another one very soon...
RIA: Who is giving you creative inspiration at the moment?
KS: I think people are coming up with the best memes! They’re hilarious, everyone has a funny, unique take on this situation we are in. There are certain things we will remember, looking back at this time!
Sarah Beth Morgan and Rafael Mayani have some great quarantine projects going on.
RIA: Do you have anything you think our readers should know?
KS: There are so many zoom life drawing classes, little quarantine briefs, still life challenges: lots of creative things to get involved with right now!
RIA: Let us know the best place people can view your work
KS: My website or Roar’s page.
